Cefuroxime in some countries is an ingredient of: ZinnatThis cephalosporin antibiotic cures contagions created by bacteria. The spectrum of contagions it is intended for is broad and it can be used even for rather dangerous infections. Nevertheless it is not presupposed for common colds or flu or any viral infection in general.
Do not take it if you have intolerance reaction to cefuroxime or resembling cephalosporin antibiotics (i.e. Cefzil, Keflex, Omnicef, and others) or just any drugs (i.e. penicillin). Problems with liver or intestines, diabetes, malnutrition, should be discussed with a physician beforehand. The medicine can be of some danger for a fetus and may cause definite harm to an infant therefore pregnant and nursing women are advised to consult the doctor before taking it. All the supplementary medications are better to be checked with the physician in advance.
The therapy presupposes that you complete the course and not terminate the medication administration even if you start to feel better. It is supposed to be taken regularly not exceeding the dose and prescribed period. Do not make up for the left out dose taking two pills at once. Keep the medication in cool and dry place.
