Chloramphenicol capsule

This cephalosporin antibiotic cures contagions created by bacteria. It is presupposed for the cure of some brain, lung, blood, or other severe contagions.

Do not take it if you have intolerance reaction to chloramphenicol or resembling antibiotics. Problems with liver or kidneys, anemia, G6PD, dental problems should be discussed with a physician beforehand. The medicine can be dangerous for a fetus and an infant therefore pregnant and nursing women should consult the doctor before taking it. All the supplementary medications are better to be checked with the physician in advance (especially antibiotics, B vitamins, oral contraceptives, warfarin and etc.).

The medicine must be taken every 6 hours washed down with water. Do not eat for at least for 1 hour before or 2 hours after that. The therapy presupposes that you complete the course and not terminate the medication administration even if you start to feel better. It is supposed to be taken regularly not exceeding the dose and prescribed period. Do not make up for the left out dose taking two pills at once. Keep the medication in cool and dry place.

The medicine can make you bleed easily and among other adverse effects can cause life-threatening "gray-baby" syndrome in children under 2 years of age. Be cautious and should any disturbing symptoms appear seek medical aid forthwith.
